that highly studied simple classic look that brings Catherine Deneuve to mind. Always effortless.
Always classic.
On holiday last year in Montpellier France, we made a pastime of studying French women in attempt
to learn their style secrets. In the main square one beautiful afternoon, we started a conversation
with a particularly stylish young woman. As we chatted, we could not help but notice her perfume. It
was subtle yet made a statement – much like French fashion. We finally worked up the courage to
ask what fragrance she was wearing. We learned the magic words … “Des filles a la Vanille.” To
our delight, they had a boutique right in Montpellier.
Needless to say, we ran to this fabulous boutique. Not only do they carry a variety of sinfully delicious
perfumes, they also design chic clothing and accessories. Let’s just say we maxed out some credit
cards in this one boutique.
