Je ne sais quoi. What is it that French women have and the rest of the world attempts to copy? It’s that highly studied simple classic look that brings Catherine Deneuve to mind. Always effortless. Always classic.
On holiday last year in Montpellier France, we made a pastime of studying French women in attempt to learn their style secrets. In the main square one beautiful afternoon, we started a conversation with a particularly stylish young woman. As we chatted, we could not help but notice her perfume. It was subtle yet made a statement – much like French fashion. We finally worked up the courage to ask what fragrance she was wearing. We learned the magic words … “Des filles a la Vanille.” To our delight, they had a boutique right in Montpellier.
Needless to say, we ran to this fabulous boutique. Not only do they carry a variety of sinfully delicious perfumes, they also design chic clothing and accessories. Let’s just say we maxed out some credit cards in this one boutique.
With over a year in the making, we are pleased to bring you our perfume discovery. Find out why Des Filles a la Vanille is our personal perfume of choice.
